All offensive cooldowns (OCDs) should be used as frequently as possible under the conditions stated here and should only be delayed if they need to be saved for a DPS check or burst window, but dont start delaying them until you see that you have to. I recommend the Relic of Focused Retribution for all content. Charged Burst has 3 procs associated with it that are relevant to your rotation that I havent already mentioned: Charged AimDealing damage with Charged Burst reduces the activation time of your next Aimed Shot by 0.25 seconds. The true advantage of this build is its Energy efficiency, which enables you to not have to worry about using Cool Head at all as well as be able to spam Sweeping Gunfire to your hearts content, making it a great option for fights with a light amount of AoE. There are very few disciplines that match Sharpshooters level DPS debuff independence. This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged. The alacrity boost is much stronger than the critical chance boost, but content isnt balanced around these guild perk set bonuses anyway, so I find it better to just have a smaller boost I dont have to worry about as opposed to a larger boost that I have to interact with. The cutoff is 9 uses of Quickdraw, which takes a little over 90 seconds, so if the boss has enough health to where youre using more than 9 Quickdraws, then you should skip using the Trickshot procced by Quickdraw and just use Quickdraw exclusively in the gap slot until there are 90 seconds left since Trickshot + a Vital Shot tick is less than the damage dealt by Aimed Shot or Penetrating Rounds. That said, Sharpshooter still offers barely acceptable survivability thanks to the tools they didnt lose. Since Vital Shot has to be applied and Burst Volley was activated, the gap in your rotation has already been used and then some, so Aimed Shot will likely be coming off cooldown partway through your Charged Burst x2 grouping, which is fine. In a later update, likely 7.1, a vendor that sells mods will become available to players with high rating gear. The reason for this is that you dont have to change the way you gear in order to benefit from the effect. In case you were curious, the accuracy increase helps Gunslingers do better against some classes in PvP since accuracy over 100% reduces your opponents defense chance, though its still not a perfect counter. What more could you need? From the perspective of the highest burst, the second option is best, though from my limited testing, I didnt see a noticeable difference between the two from the perspective of sustained DPS. In general, Hideouts animations are much smoother and happen more sequentially while Phase Walks animations just kind of happen on top of everything else. Unless you know that a big hit is coming up and you dont have anything else available, this ability is best used if you can time it for when Hunker Down is not active, or on cooldown if theres just a bunch of damage going out. Sharpshooters rotation is basically to just cycle through 3 main groupings of abilities, all of which include a single use of Trickshot, and then theres a single GCD gap before Aimed Shot tends to come off cooldown. When one of the tanks or healers just died, pop it instantly, especially if a tank just died, because theres a good chance that the boss is about to hit someone else or the group really hard. Charged Burst will typically be used twice in a row or when the gap in your rotation comes, youll use it once. Their sustained DPS is very low and their burst DPS is okay, but nothing to write home about. If you want to go the extra mile, you can try to activate it 15-ish seconds before you begin pre-casting before a pull so you will just barely have enough time left on the proc for when you cast Aimed Shot, but I really dont think its worth it because if you mess up, you end up having to wait and the most youll get is maybe an extra use at the very end of the fight. When Below the Belt is used, you get a proc that enables Quickdraw to be used against any target regardless of remaining health and makes that use of Quickdraw deal 15% more damage. Unfortunately, the Ranged debuff is arguably the worst DPS debuff in the game because all the specs that already deal a significant amount of their damage as Ranged damage already provide it themselves. If its Melee/Ranged damage, this will be the only DCD youll need because this will always mitigate all of the damage you take (provided you arent stunned). Despite all this, thanks to their group utility, there are still situations where Sharpshooter can be worth bringing to a raid. Make sure that all DCDs are on cooldown before activating Bag of Tricks. Its easily one of the strongest spammable AoE abilities in the entire game. Unfortunately, this experience doesnt translate as well to group content where Sharpshooter is not in a great spot. Remember, Bombing Run is a tiny bit stronger than Sweeping Gunfire for AoE, but it wont ever be essential to taking down groups of adds and you cant spam it, so youre better off not taking it for group content if you only need to AoE. Its pretty easy to tell what is and isnt fluff, dont be greedy and dont hurt your groups chances of beating the boss. AoE damage is considered fluff if the adds do not need to die immediately or if you are otherwise shirking your main responsibilities to deal more damage than necessary to adds. I am recommending the Advanced Kyrprax Proficient Stim, Advanced Kyrprax Medpac, and Advanced Kyrprax Attack Adrenal. This build doesnt eliminate the gap in your rotation and still offers a good sustained DPS increase. You wont be using this too often anymore in group content. Be sure to take advantage of this proc whenever you have to use Below the Belt since it mitigates the DPS loss from having to spend a GCD to stun something. It also makes Dexterity-based skills like Stealth a viable choice, allowing you to also serve as your party's Scout. Use it when you get CCd. This is the only ability you should ever use when entering cover. As a bonus, it never breaks, removing the issue of how much durability dagger skills eat through. You should wait to enter cover until after you cast Bombing Run though because you dont want to proc your relics from the passive healing from your Vital Regulators utility before you actually enter combat. This proc further reinforces that Charged Burst is supposed to be used twice per Trickshot. The Gunslinger runs on Dexterity, but you need some Wisdom for Grit Points. You can either use Burst Volley on cooldown whenever you have enough time to do a full Penetrating Rounds grouping, which generally means you wont get the full benefit of the cooldown reduction, though you may get an additional use out of Burst Volley over the course of the fight; or you can save Burst Volley until right after you finish the Penetrating Rounds grouping to use that grouping twice in a row. Even with the inconsistent uptime, you can easily wind up taking less damage than other classes since you can control when your mitigation is active to take less damage against big hits. Even if the attack looks like a single-target attack, theres a good chance that its still considered AoE damage. Advanced EvisceratingCrystals are still the best because +41 stat is a more significant upgrade for critical rating since your overall stat pool for tertiary stats is much smaller than it is for the alternative stat increases from crystals, which increase primary and secondary stats including mastery, endurance, and power. Choosing not to use a Medpac for financial reasons and subsequently dying is not a valid excuse. Lucky Thoughts and Lucky Draw are often redundant since youll be resetting the cooldown of Aimed Shot and Smugglers Luck with each Aimed Shot kill, so I think going for Energy Barrels + Ballistic Redistribution makes more sense since that pair will actually increase your damage output.
