Note that Pepsi owns food brands while Coke owns beverage brands only, like Fanta, Dasani, Sprite, Smartwater, and so on. Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink that is produced and manufactured by PepsiCo. Pepsis got a lot to give to drive this idea even further. Cokes first movie appearance, however, was actually in the 1946 holiday classic Its a Wonderful Life, where an ad can be seen behind the store counter.
